Construction for 2008

Traffic control is in effect through about a 17-block work zone in Havre.
Vehicle loads over 12 feet are prohibited.
PHASE 1: 22nd Avenue East to 8th Avenue East - New concrete surface is in place on the east end of Havre. Beginning about April 21, trenchless technology will be used to rehabilitate existing sewer lines under the roadway. Bypass pumping will cause some disruption to traffic through the side street intersections.
PHASE 2: Traffic has been shifted to the north lanes on the west end. Crews are completing water service connections to the new water main and laying surface gravel. Follow traffic channelization to the approaches to businesses on the south side. Motorists are asked to be courteous and allow vehicles to reenter traffic lanes from business access.
PHASE 3: Sidewalks have been removed from the north side. Pedestrian traffic is limited to fenced walkways accessed at the intersections. Installation of a water main downtown will begin April 22 (at Montana Avenue). Traffic flow will be impacted by the excavation and the connection of about 100 services and crossings.
